Energy Entrepreneurship based on renewable energy resourcesThe aim has been to develop bioenergy service entrepreneurship model to help the expansion of solid biomass heating by removing the need of a potential private house occupant to take care of a heating system by himself. The focus has been on maintenance services (monthly checks, cleaning boilers' heating surfaces or fuel storages, combustion adjustments, failure services) and operation services (fuel management, ash transportation). The market analysis has clarified the end-users' needs and detected potential customers for bio-energy services. Market analysis was performed in five European countries: Austria, France, Finland, Italy and Spain. Potential entrepreneurs and customers were interviewed by phone or by direct conversations at fair places. Also questionnaires were posted by email. Market analysis report of potential bioenergy service customers The Business analysis aim is to characterize the potential bioenergy entrepreneur / company in order to able to offer maintenance services. The aim for the energy entrepreneurship is to help the expansion of solid biomass heating by removing the need of a potential private house occupant to take care of a heating system by himself. Four countries, Finland, France, Italy and Spain, have provided business analysis, including SWOT (Strengths, Weakness, Opportunities and Threats) analysis, for typical companies that would be established in their respective countries, while Austria, a more consolidated country with consolidated experience, has provided the analysis and view form a well established company. Business analysis report of potential bioenergy service entrepreneur Bioenergy Maintenance Service Entrepreneur – model has been developed. The excel-model is an important tool for professionals when starting a new biomass business or enlarging the current business. Partners have tested and evaluated the business model with practical case studies (3-5 pcs per participating country). The results are listed in case study report.
